Eaton's Grip Strut running boards, brake steps and end platforms are designed specifically for railcars. The unique design provides one of the safest, most skid-resistant walking surfaces available in the industry today.  

Approved by the Association of American Railroads (AAR), the Eaton Grip Strut safety plate exceeds the federal anti-slip requirements, and features a serrated surface to grab shoe soles tightly, providing slip-resistance in all directions. Large, diamond-shaped openings help keep snow, ice and mud off the surface to help prevent slippage. 

Our end platforms and brake steps are a one-piece design which helps prevent breakage or detachment from vibration or impact, and include brake chain collar reinforcements for added strength and a universal mounting slot pattern for ease of application.

Running boards, brake steps and end platforms are also available with Eaton's Perf-O grip round hole pattern.  This design is light-weight and resilient making it easy to handle and install, as well as provide slip resistance in all directions.
