Multiplate Flat Face Coupling System

Designed for any application demanding multiple hydraulic fluid connections for power transmission, our new Multiplate system (Multi-FF) allows you to quickly couple and uncouple two to six hydraulic lines simultaneously with a single, quick movement.

The Multi-FF system makes hose connectivity faster and simpler, as well as offering a modular and flexible design. Qualified for working pressures up to 350 bar and boasting 74% higher flow rates, the system is ideal for dynamic applications that require energy efficient solutions. When configured to connect-under-pressure, Multi-FF system also supports easy manual connection at residual pressure up to 350 bar.

A FLEXIBLE SOLUTION

For flat face coupling sizes 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" or on demand with couplings for water or air transfer. Further options to add an electrical connections.

GUARDIAN SEAL PLATING

Up to 1000+ hours corrosion resistance

Key features

  • Robust internal mechanism and linear connection for a long service lifetime
  • Easy for untrained operators to use with optimum force-to-connect
  • Integrated contamination protection through sealing band and dust caps
  • Improved serviceability through easy to replace couplings and safety pin mechanism
  • Modular design allows for customized solutions with specialized couplings or connectors

Smaller and lighter

With its compact size, Multi-FF system enables design flexibility and the creation of even more compact, energy-efficient machines that are also easier to assemble and maintain.

Exceptional ease-of-use

Some multiplate systems can be difficult and confusing to use—ours is designed to be easy and simple, with a low force-to-connect, an adjustable ergonomic handle to make a connection, and the ability to end the connection at the push of a button.

Robust and reliable

To maximize uptime and reduce maintenance, our Multi-FF system internal mechanism is designed to withstand heavy duty cycles in the most demanding applications—complimenting the  advanced corrosion protection offered by our Guardian Seal plating.

Guardian Seal: When standard protection isn’t enough!

Our exceptional zinc-based surface treatment offers:

  • 1000+ hours resistance to red corrosion and 360+ hours resistance to white corrosion
  • Health and environmental benefits thanks to no nickel or chromium-6
  • Safe and reliable assembly behavior
  • Paintable and distinctive shiny silver surface

Simplified maintenance

Replace couplings easily in the field with standard tools. Eaton’s Multi-FF system can also integrate our Snap-To-Connect system for couplings and hose fittings—enabling faster assembly and reducing the risk of failures from using the wrong torque.

Cleanliness built-in

Coupling contamination can compromise the entire hydraulic circuit, creating long delays and high maintenance costs. To prevent this, our integrated sealing band and dust cap protect couplings from any contact with dirt during operation.

Modular and flexible

Our Multi-FF system is highly  customizable. There are options to include a one-side handle, electrical connectors, and specialized couplings for water or air transfer. In addition, the integrated flat face  couplings are available in both carbon steel and stainless steel.
