Thomas B. Okray

Thomas B. Okray (Tom) is executive vice president and chief financial officer at Eaton, a global power management company.

Tom previously served as an executive with Grainger, where he was named senior vice president and chief financial officer in April 2018. His responsibilities included accounting and financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, operations finance, financial shared services, internal audit, investor relations, business development, and treasury operations.

Tom joined Grainger from Advance Auto Parts, where he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to that role, he held positions at Amazon, culminating in the role of vice president of Finance, Global Customer Fulfillment.

For more than 20 years, Tom grew his career with General Motors, where he held positions of increasing responsibility within the United States and internationally, serving 15 years abroad. At General Motors, he achieved the role of chief financial officer, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. This position had financial leadership of research and development, engineering operations, procurement, supply chain, capital, future portfolio strategy, future vehicle and powertrain projects, and third party alliances. Early in his career, Tom was a design and development engineer for Exxon.

Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago, with concentrations in finance, statistics, production & operations, and business policy.
